Driver escapes following high-speed chase in Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN — Authorities are looking for a driver who led officers on a high-speed chase on Thursday, December 24th in Sheboygan.

It started when a Sheboygan County deputy sheriff attempted to pull over a black Chevy SUV on Frontage Road in the Town of Wilson at about 8:30 AM. Deputies pursued the vehicle into the City of Sheboygan, where a Wisconsin State Trooper and officers from the Sheboygan Police Department got involved.

Police say the driver was blowing through stop signs and traveling 50 mph through residential neighborhoods and speeding down alleys. The driver got out of the vehicle at South 8th Street and Kentucky Avenue and fled on foot. Officers were unable to locate the individual.

Police impounded the vehicle and the investigation continues.
