One dead, five others injured in crash on Highway 23

TOWN OF SHEBOYGAN FALLS — At approximately 2:44 PM on July 22, the Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center received several 911 calls concerning a multiple vehicle accident that had just occurred on Highway 23 at County Road TT in the Town of Sheboygan Falls.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered two vehicles had been involved and extrication of the occupants of one of the vehicles was required. An 81 year old male from Sheboygan Falls, a 35 year old female from Plymouth and a 75 year old female from Sheboygan Falls were all transported to local hospitals.

The female from Sheboygan Falls was pronounced deceased at Saint Nicholas Hospital and the male from Sheboygan Falls was transported via Flight for Life helicopter to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa with life threatening injuries. The female from Plymouth has non-life threatening injuries.

Westbound lanes of Highway 23 were closed for two hours. Alcohol was not a factor. The accident is under investigation by the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office.
